The Beast of Busco was a cryptozoology that has become a significant part of Indiana folklore, particularly in the small town of Churubusco, Indiana. Back to 1898 when a farmer named Oscar Fulk claimed to have seen this giant turtle in a seven-acre lake on his property, which later became known as Fulk Lake.

Trivia[]
- July 1948, when two local fishermen, Ora Blue and Charley Wilson, reported seeing a massive turtle while fishing in Fulk Lake. Their description reignited interest in the creature, claiming it was as large as a dining room table.
- Gale Harris, the landowner at the time, also claimed to have witnessed the beast. The story quickly spread through Churubusco and eventually caught national media attention when it was picked up by a United Press International reporter in early 1949.
