The Freiburg Shrieker also known as Freiburg Schrecker is a mysterious phenomenon that has been reported in the city of Freiburg, Germany. On September 10, 1978, a group of miners were starting work in the early hours of the morning when a black winged creature blocked their entrance to the mine. As the men approached the figure, the creature reportedly made a terrifying sound similar to "the screams of 50 people at once".[1]
