The Issie is a lake monster said to inhabit Lake Ikeda in Kyushu, Japan. In 1969, and since then, there have been several reported sightings of the creature. However, most of these sightings are anecdotal and have not been scientifically proven.

Issie is described as a large, serpentine creature, similar to the Loch Ness Monster. It is said to be around 10-20 meters (33-66 feet) in length, with a diameter of up to 1 meter (3.3 feet). The creature is often described as dark brown or black in color, with a smooth, scaleless skin.
