The Yeren, also known as the "Wild Man of China," is a cryptid resembling a large, hairy humanoid, often compared to Bigfoot or Sasquatch. It is reported to inhabit the remote mountainous regions of Hubei province in China. Descriptions of the Yeren generally depict it as being between 6 to 10 feet tall, covered in reddish-brown hair, although some sightings have reported white specimens. Witnesses claim it possesses a head shape more similar to humans than to other apes, featuring a sunken face, large teeth, and a bulbous nose. While generally considered to be a nonviolent creature, there are rare accounts of aggressive behavior.
